Runway is a free browser game made by an independent developer. This page explains what information the game uses and why. We do not ask for your name, email address or any account.

What is stored on your device

The game keeps the following in your browser’s local storage so it can work and remember your progress:

• your current career save and a backup copy of it,
• settings such as sound on or off,
• your records, collection and unlocked difficulty levels,
• a random player ID and the date you first played.

This data stays on your device. You can delete it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.

Anonymous gameplay statistics

To understand which parts of the game work and which do not, the game sends short, anonymous events to our own server, for example “a run started”, “an interview was passed” or “a run ended”, along with the random player ID, the game language and the date. These events contain no name, email address or contact details. We use them only to improve the game and do not sell or share them. They are stored with Cloudflare, our hosting provider, and kept for no longer than 13 months.

Contact form

If you send a message through the contact form, we store your message and, only if you give one, your email address, so we can read it and reply. We also store the country your message came from, as reported by Cloudflare. Messages are stored with Cloudflare and deleted within 12 months.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address to deliver the page and protect it from abuse. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

Advertising

The game may show ads provided by Google AdSense, for example an optional video you choose to watch in exchange for an in-game bonus, or a short ad between runs.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent through Google’s consent message before personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time from the privacy link that message provides.

Children

The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
